Description

Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic, whereas caffeine is a central stimulant. This combination is designed to provide potent and extra relief of pain.

Composition

Each film-coated tablet of Doprane Extra contains:

• Paracetamol : 500 mg
• Caffeine : 50 mg
• Excipients: S.Q. for one film-coated tablet.

Indications

Doprane Extra tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of pains and fever.

Dosage & Administration

For Children

• From 7 to 11 years: 1/2 tablet  1-3 times daily.
• From 12 to 15 years: 1 tablet  1-3 times daily.

The maximum daily dose is 50mg/kg/day and should not be exceeded.

For Adults

• 1-2 tablets from 1 to 3 times daily.

The daily dosage should not exceed 6 tablets, this means 3 grams of paracetamol daily. Prolonged administration should be avoided, and the interval between two doses should be at least 4 hours. In case of severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance is below 10 mL/min.); the interval between two doses should be at least 8 hours.
