Losartic tablets combine losartan potassium an angiotensin II receptor ( type AT1) antagonist, and a diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide.
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Losartic is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension.
Losartic may be administered with or without food .
The usual starting dose is one tablet once daily, if blood pressure remains uncontrolled after about 3 weeks of therapy, the dose may be increased to two tablets once daily. More than two tablets once daily is not recommended.
The usual dosage of losartic may be followed as long as the Patient’s creatinine clearance is > 30 ml/min. In patients with more severe renal impairment, Losartic is not recommended .
